e-CertNL (Client export)

Do you export vegetables, fruit, plants or plant material? Then, in addition to the export document, an export inspection must also be requested from the NVWA.

What is e-CertNL?

e-CertNL (formerly Client Export) is a system for the automated submission of inspection requests and requests for certification of certificates at the inspection services. The system was developed by the Ministry of Economic Affairs in collaboration with the NVWA, the business community and the inspection services.

What can we do for you?

We can help you with the application of the necessary certificates. Obtaining the certificates is done via the following steps:

• STEP 1: At least one shipment consists of an export date, country of destination and a main product.
• STEP 2: The exporter states the composition of his shipment in e-CertNL. On this basis, the system determines the relevant requirements and looks for possible coverages. The covers that come from inspections are activated and can be requested via e-CertNL.
• STEP 3: The inspection service plans the inspections and carries them out. Once everything has been inspected, the inspector passes the result electronically to e-CertNL, which then determines whether the shipment is export-worthy.
• STEP 4: If the consignment is export-worthy, the exporter can print the veterinary, phytosanitary and / or quality certificate and submit it for certification to the inspection service.
